Hi my fellow daughters of Eve! It is sooo nice to get to talk to you.
So considering the fact that this is my first blog post I want to post this poem that is near and dear to my heart. It challenges me EVERYTIME I hear it. I sure a lot of you have heard this. And if not let me share this blessing with you. It is a poem by this amazingly anointed woman named Janette Ikz. The poem is called "I Will Wait For You". It calls all women of God to re-evaluate who we are as women and what we look for in men. I know, for me, as a single 21 year old woman, everyday my mind runs wild with questions about when I will be in love and married. When my future husband will come and take me away from this daunting life of loneliness *holds heart and head* (cue violins). Sometimes I get so caught up that I create him in my head and I live in this fantasy world thinking about what my life will be like instead of living the life God has already given me right now. I can literally live in these fantasy worlds for hours. (Sad... I know!) But at the end of the day I always have to remind myself. God's will. Not mine. God's time. Not mine. God's love. No one else's. So I hope this can be just as comforting and convicting for my sisters as it IS for me.
Love and Blessing.
